Osama bin Laden’s death is positive news for the international community. The world’s biggest terrorist threat has been put to an end.
China and its people share the same feeling as the Americans when it comes to the long-overdue justice brought to Bin Laden.
Understandably, the response toward the news in the Chinese cyber world is quite mixed, partly a result of the country’s increasing tolerance of different opinions, even extreme ones.
But it’s not fair to take the minority view as a mainstream opinion, as some US journalist have done. This is done either out of selective blindness or self-pity.
